What is the Purple Lights Campaign?

The Purple Light Nights, organized by the Prince George Violence Against Women in Relationships (VAWIR) committee, is an annual campaign to bring awareness about Gender-Based Violence and to offer support, resources and advocacy to those experiencing it.

The campaign commences on the third Thursday of October, also known as Purple Thursday, each year. The campaign serves as a day of action to honour those impacted by Intimate Partner Violence while acting to eliminate violence.
